Fall Home Tour with Natural Accents

I love decorating with natural elements! Plus, they're often readily available and inexpensive. If you're looking to add a seasonal feel to your home, I have a little inspiration for you! Welcome to my home and my Fall Home Tour with Natural Accents! | The House Down the Lane

Welcome to my very first home tour! Please come in! I’ll make you a cup of coffee or tea, then we’ll walk through the house and enjoy my Fall Home Tour with Natural Accents. :0)

The best thing about today’s home tour? I joined up with my blogging buddies, and we’re ALL sharing our fall and/or Halloween home tours!

Welcome to the Fall-oween Home Tour Hop!

Just look at all of that fall and Halloween inspiration!

There’s nothing I love more than taking a walk in the cool, crisp fall air and picking up cones, seeds, and branches that catch my eye. And that is the theme of today’s home tour: lots of natural accents that bring, warmth, texture, and nature itself indoors for the fall season!

Now, enough chit-chat, let’s get to the touring! ;0)

I love the traditional colors of fall: orange, yellow, green. But I also love neutrals. This home tour ended up combining a little of both.

The front porch is all about the traditional colors, due in part to the mums and the pumpkins I placed there. I love to sit on our front porch and rock or sip a cup of tea or coffee and read a good book!

I have SO many pictures for this tour that I decided to break it down into two posts! Stop by on Wednesday for a closer look at the front porch as well as the rest of my Fall Home Tour. #ICantGetEnoughofFall

I was so excited to use my newly refinished Grain Sack Stripe Inspired Tray in my living room {you can read more about that project HERE}. I filled it with two vintage books, a lantern filled with leaves, a baby boo pumpkin, and a few ears of corn.

On another living room side table, I included a few branches from our many aspen trees and an embroidery hoop pumpkin.

I cut a few Forsythia branches and added them to the galvanized bucket.

I love this DIY Fall Welcome Sign {from an Old Rake} that I created for a guest post on Old House to New Home. And I just couldn’t decide whether to leave the rake outside on the front porch or inside, so I kept moving it back and forth! :0)

I added a few seasonal touches to the dining room shelves…

And continued the same theme with the dining room table centerpiece.

It includes many natural touches, including pine cones, aspen branches, grapevine pumpkins, and faux acorns. Soft candle light highlights the colors and textures.

The aspen log sections came from an aspen tree in our backyard which was being squeezed out by its neighbors. I love how they helped me vary the heights in this centerpiece!

The small plates are from a series called “The Friendly Village” by Johnson Brothers.

I’ve been wanting to add a few pieces from this series for years, and I finally found some. And for a steal! They were mixed in with dishes from another series. You’ll probably see those this Christmas. :0)
